We have digitised 81 yearbooks for Bergs Hembygdsförening in southern Jämtland — 5,792 pages of local history in all, spanning almost a century.

The material comprises two series: Bergvind with 18 annual volumes from 1914 to 1970, and Berg och Åsarne with 63 annual volumes from 1936 to 2008.

The covers were digitised on our Image Access Bookeye 5 overhead scanner and the book blocks on our Inotec 6x1 — both FADGI-calibrated. The pages were then post-processed with our own software for retouching and pixel-level image correction, and OCR-processed with an extended character set so that older spelling and special characters are rendered correctly.

The delivery consists of searchable PDF files in two resolutions — 300 dpi for reading and distribution, 600 dpi for archival use. The entire material is now full-text searchable, from 1914 through to 2008.
