For certain documents such as travel expense claims, accounting vouchers and receipts, where contactless scanning is required, we use overhead scanning instead. That is, digital photography with dedicated software.
We remove the staple in the top corner of a multi-page document, photograph it and staple the document back together. We do NOT need to remove the staples that hold receipts onto the A4 sheet.
In a second step we capture any relevant ID number, for example the voucher number, date and so on from the document, if you wish, and use it to rename the documents.
