Scanning with OCR interpretation of selected fields
This service uses OCR to interpret (index) certain predefined fields. The result is then corrected and verified manually using purpose-built software for manual indexing.
Scanning with manual indexing / data capture of selected fields as metadata
Manual data entry is an alternative when text is handwritten or when print quality is too low for good OCR results; in that case we index the image using our own software for manual indexing of metadata. See the example below for information that must be indexed manually. The metadata can be stored either directly in the TIFF files in XMP format, or as a tab-delimited TXT file with filenames and data!
