We scan exam answers and carry out automatic marking with the help of a purpose-built script. You can adjust how many points each correctly answered question should give.
You design a "survey page" (tick-box form) for entering the correct answer options for the questions in an exam! The forms are scanned in, and then a script goes through all the fields (variables) in each database row (1 database row = 1 survey copy) and compares the answers against a table of correct answers and the number of points for each variable. By default, the number of correct answers is then saved in a separate field for the number of correct answers in each database row.
